In your writing, you had a lovely idea for your friend. Your poem sweetly spoke of her closet of clothing...making it difficult to remember her without "hurting to the core".. lovely tribute.

Thanks for the insightful review. I thought making a cushion cover of all her familiar patterns would be ideal and comforting, cheers, j

Very well written. Glad to see people are not having any trouble with the "quasi" variation of the Triolet. Just out of curiosity, "That floral dress, by the ocean shore" did you by any chance imagine a dress of chiffon? I did. Thanks.

Thanks for the review. I wrote this for a friend that was having problems dealing with her mother;s clothes after her death. I thought a nice big quilted pillow with pieces of her clothes might be a loving reminder. Cheers, j

It's always nice to have a poem help a friend rather than be read only by strangers.

At parties and weddings, I like to have pads and pencils available for people to write haikus, just for fun. When I am in Zanzibar and meet people, I write little haikus about them the day they leave and leave it leaning on their coffee cup in the morning. I had a couple both crying because they thought it was sweet. I hate goodbyes and little haikus make it easier, cheers, j

Beautiful artwork. It and the background color completed the piece well. Your words flow together nicely and easily combined forming the message of the poem for the reader.

Lovely poem, very evocative, full of intense emotions and memories. I like your use of Synecdoche, the floral dress representing the whole loved person. Well done.
Best line?
memories in a fabric's weave. Lovely!

Thanks for the insightful review and teaching me a new word. My friend is having a hard time to sort her mom's clothes, I thought a pillow quilted from them would keep the memories alive and close at hand. Cheers, j
