Great story in just four lines! This poetic form is new to me. How much we need those "sweet songs of peace" today! The "batteredness" tells me that this need was there even decades ago, too.

The Image of This Battered Guitar goes so very well with "A Musical Poultice".
The sweet songs of peace are the healing ingredients when applied to the wounds mend the scars of the heart and Soul of a healing nation.

I wonder what it is that makes the guitar so appropriate as a symbol of peace. is it just the connection to the proponents of peace who have used it - Lennon, Baez etc? or is it something deeper about the sound or the simplicity of the instrument?
In any case, your naani makes perfect sense to me and I like that final metaphor of the musical poultice - there are a lot of wounds to heal.

Maybe because it is mobile. I like the idea of a peaceful song travelling around the world, bounding, resounding affecting us all. I wrote this for my friend that organized a peace protest in California. I told her Icould her I could hear it all te way in Africa. Thanks for the review, cheers and peace, j

A very well-written Naani. The sweet sounds of an old guitar are one of my favorite sounds in music, as long as the guitar is well-tuned of course. Lol.
