Wonderful commemoration of the "Super Moon." I hope you got to see it. It was completely cloudy here so we couldn't see it. I like your phrase "jaded world" and how it contrasted with the "majestic moon" taking our view away from the mundane and reminding us there is so much more than life on earth.

Wow, I had to go look this one up. I remember this moon and we have another one coming up in December on the 13th and then it will be a full year before the next one. We were lucky, there Dec. 13th will be the 3rd for 2016. There is only one in 2017 and one in 2018.
I always have noticed these but never knew the proper name for them.
Thank you for the beautiful poem and the lovely image to go with it.
