I enjoyed reading this poem.
Amazing grace! Shout out good news!
God loves me! I know it's true!
Pure and Perfect died for all!
Rose to hear each humble call!
I wish more people would hear His call.

Nicole - I share that wish with you. I'm ashamed to admit that I get tongue-tied when I try to witness / testify verbally - but I try to make up for it in writing and I ask Him to bless the reader. It is encouraging whenever I learn that someone has read my work! Wait ... maybe I have an ulterior motive when I ask Him to have more folks read my work! You reckon???

Dear Relda,
How wonderfully expressed. For Christ does roll up his sleeve and extends his hand to all. What I like about your posts that I have read is that you are so positive without being a breast beater. God does indeed love us is the message sent loud and clear. Excellent rhyming.
Warm regards,
Winslow

Nice poem and is an excellent topic. Too many people have little faith in the Lord. If they get into situations, they fail to realize that if they put all trust is Jesus Christ, he will handle everything. I can't tell you how many problems were eliminated due to him.

Yes, Jesus rolled up His sleeves for us. This is a wonderful faith poem which takes a common Southern expression and expands it into a story of faith and redemption. Your Bible based image of the man drowning in sin and reaching out to Jesus for salvation reminds me of the story of Peter sinking when he began to walk on the water to Jesus but had fear. Your poem is well-rhymed and carries a strong message of redemption. Thank you for sharing and rolling up your sleeves to write this poem.

Hi Relda,
This is a terrific poem of faith.
It flows very well when read.
Tell Bud thank you for his service
and welcome home.
He must have been in during Nam.
What service was he in?
There are a lot more Christians on the site
than it would first appear. JESUS is the only way to fly. I will be praying for both of you.
I know and understand well the roll of a caregiver having done it twice. I will also ask for prayer for you at a special prayer group/ church that was started in 1926 90 yrs.
It is 5 generations now. People you don't know will be praying for you both. Things are about to change for the better. You might check with the county/ state you live in about being paid as a caregiver. I think the VA might have a program like that too you might check that out. Your doing the work anyways you might as well get paid for it. I know your doing it out of love. But the money when
offered is being provided by the LORD take it.
He is supplying your needs in this way don't refuse HIM or HIS gift to you.
Now in regards to dancing, do it by faith.
Pray and ask GOD for the ability then by faith
do it. To start, turn on some music, pray, ask, and then by faith start dancing. Picture in your mind that your dancing with JESUS. If bud is in a wheel chair sit on his lap and put your arms around him and have him wheel in time to the music. Maybe start off with a waltz and then branch out. You might also find out about having Sammy as buds service dog then he could go where ever Bud goes. How old is he?
Best regards,

Hi, K - Bud was in Air Force, Airborne Radar Support on Cuba. Sitting in the 'belly of the beast' so-to-speak. I'm blessed by the prayer coming our way ... wow, a 90 year continuous congregation - there's been some praying going on there! Now the 'me in Bud's lap on a wheel-chair ... I could dance then! as Bud is an excellent dancer and he wouldn't have me stepping on his toes!
Sammy is a great 'retriever' already. Just need to get him to fetch more than just his toys! Sammy is 3 - but still total puppy (American Brittany's are known as the CLOWN of the canine world).
Look forward to stopping by your site to see what you've been up to.
God bless and my best,

EXCEPTIONAL, in reading this the first time I knew it was my missing something, then I read again as a message, discarding the poetic stance and my eyes opened my heart beat change and spirit shouted aloud, AMEN, love this gem.

'ronnie' - so good to talk to you again. I was on a long break from FS but I've been able to get back on again. I missed it and the FS folks a lot. Know what you mean about missing something. Spent most of life 'missing' it ... so many of the Lord's truths had to 'sneak up on me' before I finally got it. I'm glad Jesus has great patience
Your insight and encouragement are so appreciated.

Bill - your comments and encouragement are very appreciated. Thanksgiving was special this year (we were in OK City with middle son and family) and since Bud is ill it was especially meaningful to our son. The feeling of thankfulness has been overwhelming. God takes care of us.
God bless and my best,
Relda

Your encouragement is worth more than a 'six' (but I appreciate the thought!). You have made me feel rejuvenated - have been from Tallahassee to OK City and back in the last week. Tired but still kicking.

PS Good to meet you. I'll stop by your site soon to see what you are up to.
