This is such a beautiful story in the power of believing...just have confidence in God's goodness and power. My fave line because of the movement and its force: " I dashed forward into the light, bounding, spinning, ricocheting off log-piles..." There you go...I see it all in my mind. So shall be. Blessings to you.

amada - your encouragement comes at welcome time. My Bud and I travelled from Florida to Oklahoma (took 2 days). On the first day he slipped in a parking lot (he is stubborn about letting anyone help him) and since his arms and upper body are decimated by the ALS) he went backwards and hit his head on the asphalt. Blood went everywhere and he was out for about 30 seconds, then was totally confused about the previous hour's activities. I immediately thought 'concussion' and we rushed to urgent care, where they dug gravel out of his head and insisted we go to a hospital for CT scans. By the time the scans were done he was making more sense when he talked and insisting he was okay, but the confusion and spotty memory continues. He didn't have a concussion but his head has a 4x4 wound and hematoma.
I've been a wreck, but you've made me feel lot's better.
Have a great Thanksgiving. I'll be thanking God for folks like you as well as for the feast.

I loved this. My daughter dances at these celebrations and I think I it is a great way to worship, but I don't move so easily.

Elaine - Very nice to meet you. How neat to have a dancing daughter. I have 3 sons and they are also rhythm-challenged.
Thank you so much for your comments and encouragement.
I look forward to stopping by your site to see what you're up to.

I would have to copy most of this wonderful exercise to point out all that I loved.

An earthly father tries to teach his daughter to dance. Her heavenly father gives her a vision that He will teach her the purity of joyous dance, unfettered, unhindered.

There will be no fear, embarrassment, or shame once the fetters to this world are gone.

"I can see it. Feel it. The rush of released joy: Movement...rising in spontaneous worship - expressing gratitude through grace - lifting praise through abandonment of self"

Exquisitely phrased. The dreamer feels the freedom of celebration of body and life! Then the true dream, the promise of dreams fulfilled, gives a peaceful joy to know she will one day truly 'lift praise' when self is finally abandoned to live on the other side of heaven.

LaRosa - you made me cry tears of joy. It is a joy to write it - but to have someone understand and appreciate it deeply is a reward like no other.
You have blessed me on a day I needed it badly. My Bud, who has ALS, had an accident Monday (head injury - he fell) and it shook me up. He does not have a concussion but he's lost some memory of the day before and is confused about events on the day it happened. He's still insisting on walking by himself - stubborn man.
    God bless and my best,

Interesting concept and storyline.

Good characterizations used throughout the telling of this story.

Reminds of my adage of "Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary."

And everything else will take care of itself.

What an amazing experience it will be at the "Camp of the Host"!

Very good, and unusual. Nice to see something fresh for a change. I like that you didn't wake up knowing how to dance. But you knew you would dance eventually in Heaven, and that's more than enough. :)

Phyllis - thank you for the encouragement and your insight. Faith is all about believing without sight. God is very pleased when we have faith.
If we never meet in person on this side, I'll look you up there!

What a fabulous story! I am sure we will all realise our hopes and dreams when we all meet up in Heaven. To dance, that was always my dream and I did for a short while. I am glad you've got yourself a date with the best teacher you could possibly have. How wonderful! :) Sandra xxx

Rebekka - thanks for your encouragement. Another thing I want/need to do is write. And, of course, be read! That prayer is also being answered.
    Thanks to you.

Hi Relda,

What a lovely free-spirited write this is!! I could easily envision you dancing with pure joy and fluidity of movement. Even if it was just a dream, your prayers were answered, and you got to dance.

"Familiar voices shouted encouragement and called my name" ... I love this line! It confirms the belief that once we go to heaven that we are reconnected with loved ones who passed on before us.

Loved your write, and I love your choice of picture to complement it.

Very nice, Relda!

Connie
