Great entry into the Mirror contest...what with the elections just completed. Loved it. Good rhythm, rhyme and flow. Very much enjoyed. Good luck in the contest. God bless and hugs, Susanne

This is a beautiful poem of faith and contest entry. God has the ultimate authority and He has spoken on this election. It will be futile for these people to try and re-figure the election.

So very true. God is in the driver's seat of every event that takes place. As they say, everything happens for a reason. So there is no fear. Thanks so much.

The sentiment is fine, and it speaks of a profound devotion to faith. Every line is strictly held to a length of 8 syllables. But sometimes, this forces an awkward expression. A foot of 8 can be, at times, modified to an occasional line of 7 or 9 syllables without damaging the rhythm. This is seen in the first line, "God sees all, and He is not pleased," could have been rendered with a simple contraction, "He's." Thusly, God sees all, and He's not pleased. Even though the line is reduced by a single syllable, the line maintains its beat better, especially since "He's" virtually rhymes with "pleased." By strictly holding to a length of 8 syllables, the language, at times, makes the beat a little herky-jerky. Still, overall, a very nice composition where the thoughts are concerned.

Thanks so much for your very kind, honest and helpful comments. In the future I will keep this in mind. I was making sure the syllable count was eight throughout. I have learned something today and I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. Blessings my friend. .................................

Beautiful poem for this contest. Many feel the election was God's choice, as Hillary was so...so. Love how you've incorporated the 'mirror' and 'reflect' in this. Blessings...

Yes, God's Word is for all. Maybe they will want to see the Truth before them now. Our job? To watch and pray and bring in His harvest in these four yrs He has given us. Great sentiment and great job

This is a beautiful poem - but what about the popular vote. I enjoyed the flow of the form you used. Thanks so much for creating this piece. All the best to you.

A very well-written uplifting poem of faith and believe in God, that He will not leave His children to perish. We just need to have trust even when things around us seem hopeless. The Holy Spirit within us, is stronger than the one in the world.
