Hi there
Really enjoyed this mirror poem, which read beautifully and what a fantastic finale,
love the twist, very creative and clever.

Couple of nits....second to last line...I'll
Sixth line....should this be twenty years older than me.

Thoroughly enjoyable

Hi Trisha;
Sometimes I just want to smash the mirror. How dare it show that woman in my reflection? What happened to the carefree girl who turned heads everywhere she went? What happened to my waist?

Oh, I know. Time.

Thanks for sharing,
~patty~

A very well-written poem of nature's mirror that sometimes can trick us when we see our reflection in the water when it seems we are older than we think or it may be our evil twin.

This is a fun verse, well done.
Our age and the wrinkles do sneak up on us, it's true.
It's a beautiful picture you chose for your story.
Good luck in the mirror competition.

It certainly is every women's nightmare. Best to not look in the mirror. I enjoyed your poem and could relate to it. Just one thing though the sentence with "really is true" would it not be better to leave the "it" out? Best wishes.

Yep! I do not recognise the person in the mirror! I always thought I was younger than that! But it's best just not to look and pretend you look 21 again! He he he, a fun write and I wish you well for the contest, love Dolly x

Hi, Dolly,!. It makes sense to accept yourself outside, I think all the media does not help urging mature women to buy this and that. I am surprised how collagen plays a part. You probably have a lovely Brit skin. I appreciate your kind review

mirror mirror on the wall who's mirror poem is going to be the fairest of them all there are many ways to enjoy our Reflection from mirrors to the waters play low but the best way to do it is to look deep inside and self-reflect dr. Ricky 1024 and good luck with this

Thanks - wise advice. There is to much emphasis put on exterior, instead of the person inside. Thanks much for reviewing
    Have a great day, Trisha

I think we are all a little surprised no matter the age of what we look like when we look at ourselves in the mirror. If we play our cards right though, every age can be our best. it's how we think of ourselves methinks! Nice write. xoxo Kiwi

Cleaver poem. And I can relate so well. It is so weird as we age we feel young yet when I see my reflection in a window, I think that can't be me. I am a Gemini as well!

This is well written and nicely rhymed. I like the idea of nature's reflector being a lake. The way you have presented this is very attractive, too. Good job!
