In your next to last line the word"alterntive" should be spelled "alternative".
And, a qualified alternative is what this country needs to consider for the next President.
Most people are referring to this election as a Lose-Lose situation.
Who knows which of these two candidates is going to be the second most destructive President the United States has ever seen: the criminal who should already by in prison...Clinton or Trump?
Your essay is well written and points out several of the weaknesses you observe in Trump.
The reason he appeals to forty percent of the population is because they realize how badly a change in "business as usual" in the White House is needed, especially in who is currently there...Obama and the ruination he has caused America.

It scares the hell out of me, too that such a man could be nominated, let alone have the Presidency almost within his grasp. Surely that many people aren't that unaware. Your essay does well to stick to facts and is all the stronger for avoiding opinion for the most part. This is what he does. Is that something you agree with? You put the onus directly on the shoulders of your reader. I like that.
