I loved this and can sympathise with you on these slimy creatures however I can go one better we have had their slimy messages in our house on the floor and I had to have a rumble with them luckily I won. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of them.

Well written poem about those nasty little critters. A few weeks ago I submitted a poem on a slug - unfortunately that slimy little devil was on a platter served at our table in a restaurant. YUK!! Its an image hard to get rid of. Your rhyming is great and it gave me something to smile about. Thanks and good luck!! Carol

Their message on my sidewalk made me grouse and grumble,
so if they keep on coming back, I guess we'll have a rumble. This line made me smile. this Quatrain poem followed the rules and was well planned and constructed. .

It sounds kind of gross but if you collect all the slugs and put them in a box, feed them cornmeal, and after they stop pooping green, you can make escargot. Still hungry? I could see the imagery of the slugs and snails crawling.

An excellent way to rumble with pesky slugs it to place cups of beer near their routes. They are all beer-a-holics and can't stay away. It will dissolve them so if you're queasy, don't rumble this way. Fun read and spoof as you say. I enjoyed it. Good luck in the voting.
