A very well-written politician story. They are like brothers that will curse each other now and in an half an hour they are making plans to do something together again.

Hi, Sandra! Thanks for stopping by again. Much appreciated.
Yes, I think politics, at its best, is really just showmanship--or showomanship--not personal, and when it's over the opposing parties can go back to working together.
Thanks again for the reading and review! I'm going to make it over to look at your work asap.

The best it gets pretty much sums up the story, if only. I enjoyed your scene with the two politicians. I felt real and the characters believable. Good use of humor with Jerry misunderstanding Sam's intent. Best of luck in the contest.
How much had he'd tanked up? --I stumbled over this sentence. I tried to reason out how this sentence works. I get the gist of what your trying to convey, but I am confounded as to how it works. Suggest looking it over for possible revision.
Overall, well done!
Take care.

Thanks for pointing out the confusing idiom--"tanked up," a verb for "drank too much," as in filling oneself with alcohol like a tank. I've changed it because it probably causes reader confusion.
Thanks again for the reading and review!
