This poem is cleverly written as far as rhyme is concerned but it is crying out for a more regular meter. It is a great idea but is so ragged on rhythm that I cannot give it more than four stars. Many of those who no doubt will be voting have no idea of meter either so please don't give up up hope,

I love your honest and kind reviews, still working on trying to get the meter right as well as keeping my syllable count just right. Sometimes I find it difficult to keep that syllable around 8 and 10. There is always hope as you stated, I'll never give up and keep right on trying. Blessings.......................

Wow! I've read a few of the entries for this contest - yours was pretty tough! I thought the scene of the casket being closed was especially powerful. You tell a story with your poem and it's impossible to look away! Great job.
