Your color choice for the words make it hard to read the words on the red background. You might try white for the color of the lettering and see if it is easier to read. I think your choice of artwork completes the piece well.

Been on fanstory just 3 weeks. Still trying to learn the lay of the land. Thanks for the suggestions.

Jazz does not appeal to a mainstream audience. Who is the best ever greatest saxophone player of all time? Phil Woods is the all-time best. His repertory crosses more genres than Parker, Trane, or Getz and he is purer jazz in his musicianship than those three icons I just mentioned. Unlike those three, his technique, intonation, and sound are flawless. He built from his Julliard training instead of resting on his laurels and coasting. His music is never dated or in a genre rut. Well done about jazz, jazz, and more jazz. Good luck in the booth.

Thanks for your kind thoughts and in depth review. However I fear most reviewers snd voters are not jazz lovers...

Oh! Isn't that a wonderful description of the sounds of a saxophone! It IS mournful, and reaching, and if heard at night in a city, oh yes, I can picture the rooftop, feel the satiny smoothness of a summer night...Wonderful! Best of luck in the contest.
