I love this story. What an unusual pet. No wonder the vet showed interest in you. My grandson says he wants a pet elephant but I think his parents vetoed the idea.

What a story! I'm sure everyone is asking the same question: does Dumbo still live with you? If you have three children, obviously some time has passed, so what is the situation today with Dumbo?

Hi Mj, this is a sweet story and very well written, What a lovely elephant and vet. Well In English we wouldn't normally call a man beautiful. Handsome or very handsome would be more appropriate. I know a man can be 'muy guapo' in Spanish but not in English normally.
'He seems to have a special fascination.........' The whole sentense is in present tense and should be changed to past tense.
A lovely story and I like the reference to Jane Eyre. One of my favourite classics.

I know it's not very common, but it's possible to use beautiful for a man to emphasize just how handsome he is.
I love Jane Eyre too, it's also one of my favorites together with Austen's novels.

Goes to show animals are a whole lot smarter, and typically better critters, than their two-legged counterparts will ever be.

And they all lived happily ever after, no doubt.
