Good entry to the short poem writing prompt.
The prompt in most succinct terms seems to require only a factual description that evokes a mental image of the title. This little ditty seems to conjure up all the witty ways to make a wish and on a more "thinking" level maybe the only true way to have it granted.......if you BELIEVE.

I believe and never pass up a time to bring a little luck my way. Yes, thinking positive is the best 24 hour, , DIY solution for sure. I love when you see little buddhas and their bellies are rubbed shiny by fellow luck seekers, Thanks for the review, cheers, j

Thanks for the review. I am curious, why haven't you written anything? Just wondering. Cheers, j

You are welcome. Because I'm trying to get my first blue star, and writing a book when I have the time is hard enough so I make the time to write reviews here and then go offline to write my books.

I collect images of Ho Tai, the smiling Buddha you used as illustration.
Here for your reading pleasure is my limerick dedicated to the Chubby Fellow.
A rapacious admirer of Buddha
Told a friend "Things are fun when you're nuddha.
Especially if you
Have a fine female who
Is inclined to insist you includdha."
The subject poem is pushing an outstanding assessment, but not quite there. Sorry. I wish there was a 5 1/4 rating

Funny poem and gives him a humanistic perspective. I always rub the belly when I see one and smile at the shiny spot from others doing the same thing. Cheers and welcome back, hah, judester

Actually images is confusing, I meant statues, from jade to ceramic to silver to concrete.

That's something worthy to collect. I have a beautiful clay one in my garden, which I cherish. Cheers, judester

Part of the magic is never being too old to wish on falling stars...
never forgetting that nothing is impossible...as possible is contained in the word...I'm possible...by Audrey Hepburn...
so geeky in your new tennies wishing on a star?

Making wishes is one way to channel your energy for a positive effect. One does not have to set aside childish. Making wishes is one way to focus your energy.

I agree with you. I never miss rubbing a buddha belly or a wishing well coin toss without a little ritual. Focus my childish energy indeed. Thanks for the review, cheers, j
