Hahahaha. Bill. Yeah, I don't blame the flowers. I would be 'bloody' concerned as well if I was a flower in the mower's way. I love it. All the best. Ulla:))

With apparent good reason for dread and concern. Beware the uncaring mower, he will mow down anything in his path. He doesn't want to be there anyway, he was probably forced to mow the lawn so as far as he is concerned everything in the yard is grass to be mowed down.

Hey, yesterday I saw a weed wacker blade on an infomercial that prevents you from cutting down flowers. I has a ring around the blade that protects flowers. Genius.

Should they be?
Concerned, I mean?
Surely you've designated a proper place for planting your flowers. They aren't scattered haphazardly here and there around your lawn, are they?
I find the industrial strength weed killers work best, not the stuff you get at Lowe's or Home Depot. I go to the feed mill in a town nearby to purchase mine. It's what the farmers around these parts use on their soy beans, corn, and tobacco crops.
Works like a charm...

I normally just mow them all and let God sort them. Kooky cartoon.

The "flowers seemed concerned." I love this. The picture is such a perfect match to the poem I must assume you used the picture for inspiration. The theme is nature and the syllable count is 5-7-5, so I imagine we could call this piece a haiku. (I've been corrected before for referring to non-nature themed 5-7-5 as a haiku.) Thanks for sharing.

That was my laugh for the day. My wife tends to get concerned when I cut the flowers. It's usually my head that gets the concern. I love it, very witty and creative. Great piece, great laugh. Best wishes.
