Hahahahha! Is that REALLY YOU? I must be getting old, I have the odd days like this ... for fun and an excuse! I'm pleased you asked me to pop in. Well worth the experience. A great piece for the contest. I'm never sure about the 'recommended (but not required) start ... every stanza, "You are ...".
I hope your wife doesn't stay visiting too long ... you might forget yourself altogether. Often best to let the other half do the thinking! hee hee! I better mention your rhyme -- done well, and the quirkiness of your poem is just fun. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. Hugs - Lovi xoxo

Welcome back, Lovinia! Thanks for giving me another shot to impress you, and that "quirky" remark!
The poem is fictional, although the image is me.
As to the prompts, when they [ndicate that something is optional, except, perhaps, in the cash prize contests, I treat it as optional, literally, because I assume the voters will be influenced more by the quality of the work, and that's all I focus on in those situations.
The contest ended last week, and my entry finished second. Thanks again, Lovinia. Come again!
