I can't even imagine such a useless endeavor of making someone be something they are not. I have many left-handed relatives and I'm so right-handed my left hand is merely a decoration. I do type with both hands. My husband is ambidextrous. I think the Devil just finds ways to be cruel to humans. I find left -handed people to be extremely intelligent and creative. My left-handed son has a 180 IQ. Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs...

This is very interesting. Most left handed people I know where never forced to change hands. I saw The King's Speech and it was a very good movie. My grandson is left handed and he'd very intelligent and he is into music. My cousin who is left handed has an excellent singing voice. She claims she has read that left handed people were meant to be mirror twins and the other twin didn't develop. Have you every hear that?

Have not heard that one on the twin thing. They hoped I would be a girl so I messed that up...I wrote about that in my autobiography. You also proved the theory about Left handed tending to music. Going through my Geoff's Musings book adjusting chapter numbers and felt like this needed airing again. Thanks for coming by.

Interesting topic. My mum forced herself to be right-handed to fit in at school and she now says she is ambidextrous. But the cruelty of teachers is beyond my understanding, who cares if a kid uses his left or right hand?
But the way, I'm right-handed and very musical, so I'm not totally sure if the connection is there. But there is lots of info online about which side of the brain is creative and which isn't so that might be something to look into too. Cheers

Your story here interested me and too, learned some history about King George the IV, otherwise would have never know, and seems quite the movie about possibly his life.

Well, such a mean teacher, what she did do your Uncle, glad she was caught finally, and stopped, and probably forced to retire.

I have a 19yr old grandson that is left-handed and he is quite the scholar now entering a university , his first year with his sights on being a geologist, and too a niece who is about 51, the most dedicated worker at a hospital, and bring a lefty. Also my hubby works with a man who is skilled with work tools by being quite ambidextrous making my hubby Skip kind of envious, wishing he could do the same, being they're both mechanical & electrical technicians at the Nestle chocolate plant here in Illinois.

Thanks for sharing, enjoyed the read...Caressa_08

Very well stated and so true.]
why is it that left handed people are looked at as wrong?
I can write backwards and in a circle and was considered strange. Just thought i would add that.

Interesting story. My oldest brother was ambidextrous. Michael Angelo could write with either hand. Could write with either hand, backwards. He used to right his notes so that anyone reading them had to use a mirror.

A very well-written piece of work. My oldest brother is left handed although my other brother and sister and myself are right handed. I often just for fun write with my left hand.

Thanks Sandra, seems i am going mad with the writing atm. To be honest this one has sat in my previews for ages. A subject dear to my heart for a lot of reasons.

As a first grade teacher in today's world we let the children choose which hand they want to write with or are most comfortable with.)

I have tried it,but, sadly all I can achieve is writing my name backwards, in long hand, with my left hand while writing it, normally with my right hand. (space after the comma after it)

Left-handed, right-handed, Left-Handed (decide if you are going to capitalize all of it or none of it or part of it and keep it the same throughout the post.)

I remember hearing about that, it is awkward watching a left handler, push his pen across the page, it looks difficult to see what they write, that alone seems unfair! As In my sporting days I knew many gifted left handed sportspeople, and generally ambidextrous, I forced myself to kick left foot. I was more than useful table tennis player, and could beat most other players playing left handed, my unnatural hand! There's a lot to be said for ambi dextererity but one should never be forced to do it. Well done, bro, excellent work, blessings, Roy

Thanks Bro Roy. I neglected to add I eat right handed knife and fork but spoon with left hand. I also played sport on the odd occasion with cricket or baseball or golf right handed, so there.
