The first thing I want to say is I wish I had a 6 star review to give you. I honestly can't think of anything that you could've done better. This is an exceptional poem. The story is captivating and beautiful, the rhyming is exquisite and the syllable count makes this poem flow effortlessly. This is an absolutely wonderful poem. I think that this is a perfect example of how to write a poetic story that rhymes. Keep up the good work.

The story is captivating and beautiful, the rhyming is exquisite and the syllable count makes this poem flow effortlessly. This is an absolutely wonderful poem. What a cool story woven throughout your poem. It is always beautiful when a family has some tradition like this. I offer you one suggestion-
if you were to remove the word 'has' in your last line, I believe it would read smoother :)
