Great photo and poem of love. Hope that you focus on your love and spend time together. Favor, grace and mercy are added into this relationship, not a quick fix. Many just toss the other aside for the next high...opps! Nice spin on the naani. flylikeaneagle

Sometimes in matters of the heart, the deck is inexorably stacked against you before you even begin. And, as you and I both know, when the deck is stacked against you, the house always wins.

You gotta know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run ~
Kenny Rodgers, The Gambler

Well done, Ogden.

Sometimes love do feel like a gamble. If one is not with a person who is showing genuine concern and respect, then love may not exists. You have a nicely written naani poem. Good job with this write.

Another niffty didty. This must be the day for them. Did I miss a meeting? Guess I'm getting long winded in my dotage, either that or....what was it I was going to say. Now where's my car? Good one- Ogden, is it?

Sound advice for would be gamblers on the spinning wheeel ride. Mind you I once won a whole month's mess bill on the roulette wheel, mainly on the even odds -- colours, pair and impair, passe and manque. Mos amateur wheels have bias however carefully set up and a little time studying the run of the wheel can be rewarding. It doesn't work in the professional casinos though.

This naani, Gambling on Love, with its twenty-five syllables and nice rhyme scheme says a lot about the chaotic nature of love. Hard to ride a hot streak.

A very well-written Naani poem. It is never a good idea to gamble with someone's love. You may just lose the biggest jewel you could ever have

Is it ever too late? My mom is 88 and has a new interest. He sits by her at lunch each day. Things are heating up. Smile.
The poem makes a point.
