This is absolutely wonderful and most certainly uplifting! I felt that you truly care and want to help those who are in need. Perhaps it is because I have felt this way many times in my life. Poems like this helped me to survive my teenage years! Also, the photo fits quite well! Great job! I wish you luck in the contest!

Excellent. Very excellent advice from someone who has "been there". These well chosen words could just turn someone's life around. The free verse is well crafted and the presentation is perfect.

You choose to write about probably what I would call the
biggest challenge to man kind. A lot of people think they
have found it but their looking at a raise, a new love, winning a lottery. Something temporary that will be gone
as quick as it came. But they don't even want to see the difference. A good piece.

I like the way that you identify with the plight of the downcast soul and use empathy to lift him or her from the doldrums, then offer the comfort of your faith to offer a more permanent state of happiness. Uplifting.
