Hi, Shari,
Please accept my belated congratulations for taking the Blue Ribbon in the contest for this fantastic poem. You have nailed the essence of living a good life and keeping humor throughout the years. I loved the essence and feel of the poem. Of the ones that I read, yours is certainly the best and truly deserved the first place honors.
Well done, my friend.

Congrats on your win, Spitfire! I can certainly see why this entry won the Quinzaine contest! Your three lines fit perfectly with the picture. "can you lie?" ... lol If we make it to be 95, I wonder if we'll still wonder if we are still sexy. :) Your write really reminds us of what is in store for us when we get older.
Well done!

Well, I just turned seventy-four and still want to look attractive to the young men who do lawn work, etc. I don't expect any flirtation, but if they're handsome, I don't hesitate to say, "You're gorgeous!" Men love to be told that, even if they already know it. Maybe it means more coming from a woman old enough to be their grandmother. LOL

One is never too old to want to be attractive and found sexy. It means that they are still full of life ... and that's a good thing. :)

This is charming and I do like the image accompanying. Age IS only a number because we all seem to feel that universal age of 30-ish--no matter the numerical age. I think many people will identify with your Quinzaine. Marilyn

Hey, if I'm in a nursing home, I hope to find someone to flirt with and keep my libido alive. LOL.
Thanks for the gypsy hugs.

This is a great Quinzaine poem, Shari. The questions totally fit with the assertion and what a delightful answer they would provide.
Best wishes to you in the contest. This is a really good one. :))

I've met a lot of 95 year olds that look good. You know how many people come into the place I work and they look nowhere near their age. You can most certainly good good no matter what age you are. And I think how you feel about yourself is what matters the most. :)

LOL - if the old man is even interested in being called sexy, he's ahead of the game. I just hope for her sake that he isn't on Viagra. It looks like that's what she's pondering and perhaps is thinking about hiding it.

Ha, ha. I 'd love to start a conversation with an elderly man with "How's your sex life?"

I laughed out loud while reading this one! Well written and the picture is perfect! It reminds me of my parents. Your poem shows the reality of life, as we all grow older and the "looks" disappear. Very good!
