This spiritual poem, Secret to Life, is set up well with rhyming couplets in quatrains. The message reminds us to forgive and get along as we are living under a state of grace. Nice.

You have penned a very fine poem. It is so uplifting and I enjoyed all your positive rhymed lines in this. I know for one that you do exactly what you have written here.

I really liked the following lines:

"When for others a smile does reside.
Keeps away feelings we must sometimes hide.

When we reach out to our sisters and brothers,
It's so much better when we help each other"

I can't find really anything wrong with your poem here, but I was not particularly compelled by it either. I appreciate the sentiment behind it, but the rhymes felt a bit easy and flat, without making any really bold statement of belief, philosophy or experience. I feel that's why I can't strongly identify with it, due to it feeling generic and not intimately personal, at least to me.

Much has been written about the value of positive thinking and this poem promotes the importance of seeking the joyful aspects of life and sharing them with others. The source of the speaker's happiness and joyful attitude is belief and trust in Jesus, and the speaker invites the reader to find happiness the same way.
