Beautifully written. You know I love the subject matter. Glad you do not shy away from the fact that there is evil in the world and spiritual warfare. The other book is on it's way.

Beautiful thoughts in this and excellent couplets. You mentioned several different things to pray about. Glad you didn't forget our precious animals. Do we ever need extraordinary prayer power to see us through this election. I agree that the world is hurting everywhere. We need a strong leader to see us through the troubled times, one we can be proud of. In your line "Stay on our mind..." I think you might want to make that minds, considering that your speaking for several when you use our. Great thoughts in this and best of luck in the contest. judi

What a beautiful and fitting poem to share on Independence Day. I love the line "in my own natural state to say" - very humbling and real. Truly, without Jesus, nothing can be fixed or even accomplished that is worth fixing or accomplishing. "Stay on our mind night and day" - how important (for me) to keep him in front of my vision and my every moment, whether in the dark or the light of day. "Protect the animals everywhere" - yes, even they (and also our enemies) need our prayers. The election - definitely needs a lot of prayer and may we stand tall with Jesus holding us up. Great poem & wishes for good luck in the contest.

author, I am usually not into religious offerings because they revel in indoctrination and or dogma. However, this is a heartfelt prayer and it is respected. As for America standing tall, I wonder why we believe that The United States of America is exclusive of godly blessings regardless of our ways. There is a poem by Mark Twain called The Anti War Poem. It is incredible and an eye opener.
Unfortunately the world is a mess. Filled with hate and arrogance. And a love of displaced power. Haughty and arrogant. This prayer should be for the whole world to live in peace and harmony beyond all misunderstandings..

Oh I love this prayer poem that covers every aspect of human life even your own election i the US . That I believe is how our prayer should be, praying for the needs not only of oneself but all the needs of everyone.
