I wish there was something I could say to ease the misery - I just reviewed the small poem you wrote after this one and it, like this one, tells a forlorn tale of Mother Nature and the havoc she sometimes visits on us...praying for you that something turns around in the months to come to give relief!

    Thanks Dawn,
I was raised on a small banana farm and married a dairy farmer so some degree of resilience is built into my psychethough Mother Nature surely tests us over and over again.
It is a stressful life but also so wonderful to breathe clean air, live in a pristine valley within a volcanic caldera and feel safe from violence.
We have no choice but to pick ourselves up and start all over again...quitting is not an option.
Your thoughtfulness and compassion touch my heart.

Oh my Shirley. First it's drought, then it's flood. Life is certainly a roller coaster. Your poem gives the details expressively.nyour photo shows the story. Well written, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

    Thank you,
I couldn't resist ...the image just drew the words out.
The morning after the east coast low passed the sun shone and the water sparkled like flecks of gold.
Though it didn't detract from the sombre event I found nature once again triumphed.
We, as farmers, are just humble servants of Mother Earth and are often left speechless by her power.

Yes! I agree the world is in turmoil and mother nature is really letting us know to change our
practices or else more of the same.

    Thanks Jax.
No crops but all our winter pastures for the hungry dairy herd,
I'm really trying to write it all out now.
So much stress this year that my health is suffering.
Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis are making life difficult and they feed on stress.
Then in come the auto-immune diseases and I struggle to ward off any and every infection.

This was creative and very neat. I would not have ever been smart enough to write this. It is simple yet brilliant. Incredible thought to pen. More please.
