Hi Marilyn, Thanks so much for your review sand lovely words .I have been off line for a few weeks as my internet at home is not working as we are renovating and have had some power failures and it has interrupted my internet and phone so I am sorry to be so long in replying. Congratulations on winning your contest! I don't read a lot of poetry but I enjoyed your tribute to cats. I think your narrative would resonate well with anyone who had up-close and personal experience with a cat. They often seem independent and aloof, but a lot of personality is hidden inside their outward facade.

This poem is actually about our number one poet author I am Cat who is very interesting and writes some terrific poems. She is very versatile and I tried to match her personality to the various Cats in this poem. So your comments are spot on as shes is independent has a lot of personalities hidden in her facade I like this description it suits her well. I can certainly see how this WON the contest, Chrissy710! Love the artwork ... it really draws the reader in. Your poem does it justice and you create and present a clever write for your reader and a nice tribute to I Am Cat. My favourite line is: "and with her pen she steals your mind" ... love that!!

Chrissy--everything is so perfect about this poem--the message, the humor, the meter and rhyme. It was a total joy to read and I read it four times and will read it five or six. Her life is often in turmoil where the emphasis is on the tur. This is an easy fix--put turmoil earlier (i.e. her turmoil is the xxxx xxxx kind) 2) She'll say her piece: MEOW! it out. Right # of syllables right. And last, did you mean a one-off breed or a one-of breed. You being the cat's mama would know that right away.
