Well done with this entry in this "you're having a grandchild" contest, the verse is Dr Seuss like. I love the repetitive first line of each verse, it adds to the general impact of the poem, I write a poem for each birthday of my wife, children and grandchildren, so I like the idea of this contest. Written beautifully in articulate language and aabb rhyming. well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

The poem was sweet and the writing prompt was informational and, frankly, inspirational. Your words are sincerely appreciated...I hope your grandkids are nearby.

This poem was so awesome! I loved the meaning behind it. Your poem covered a beautiful topic in a creative way. I have just recently found a new love of Dr. Seuss, and I couldn't help but smile while reading "Baby Horton Hears Who". Great job.

I love Dr. Seuss so I was drawn to your poem. Knowing it was written for a specific child made it more heart-warming. The consistent rhyme, line count, and similar format of each stanza is strong.

A thought--why not capitalize the first word of each second line? Since the first line ends in a question mark, the second line starts a new "sentence" and the capitalization of that line, followed by lower case lines 3 and 4 would more closely indicate that lines 3, 4 and 5 are interconnected.

Congratulations on this great event in your family.

Thank you for your suggestion. I had it capitalized and changed it to give more flow but I'll look at it again. Thanks for the review and the suggestion.

The adorable picture this poem paints I love. I have a great admiration for Dr. Seuss so I could be easily partial to anything inspired by his work. I have no complaints!

Simply Amazing. I love the adventure you described, as I followed along my imagination's flowing.

You brought back memories of my children.

Very eloquent in its simplicity but complex in the meaning.

I love to the flow and the depht of this wonderful poem.

Very clever to use the name Horton- is this your first grandchild? I am in that club -I have 3 babies now -and it is so wonderful. Congratulations Nana!

He is the first Horton but not the first grandchild. Thank you for your positive review.

Your poem most certainly describes everyone's anticipation for the arrival of the new baby. Grand kids are a joy, and seeing your children with raising their children is a blessing. Your poem is well written with a nice flow, and the rhyming is quite smooth. This is an enjoyable read, good luck with the contest.

mystery author, I enjoyed reading this. I like this from the baby's
view point of hearing his mom's voice and her heartbeat being his
lullaby. Also, daddy's voice making baby jump for joy.

When I saw baby Horton, I conjured up a Dr. Seuss book, then after the read saw the reference in your notes. This is quite lovely and I enjoyed your author's notes as much as the poem. So true!
