A very well-written poem. Very often we are neglected by our own children when we grow old. The children we once adored and protect, turn against their protectors.

Yeah, family neglect is one thing but government non- interests hold a whole different fear: a need to punish them. Thanking you for generous rate and captivating views.

Hi TPAC, This is a well written poem about the aged being placed into homes when they start to get over their use, my only critical point is that I somehow found myself trying to finish some of the lines my friend.

A bittersweet poem of caring and loss..One gives all and receives nothing in return, not even love..I have seen this happen and everything earned taken from her.

Found thoughts that weren't quite finished, and was distracted by that. I think this needs some additional thought and work to bring it up to the standards of your other excellent offerings. Don't skimp on time and effort. A little finessing will pay off.

Elder neglect and abuse has to be on the top of the list as the most evil thing in society. What a sad commentary on society and family. Hopefully that is not the truth for all.
