I have them all about squirrels in my area where I live cuz we have a pin oak trees and couple other different oak trees Hidden Oaks put out these large didn't look like a normal Acorn they almost are the size of a walnut and of course they're probably highly edible by the squirrels when they do Amite the acorns it's a sign of a very cold winter to come there was very few around my yard Acorn wise and winter wasn't cold at all so we'll see what happens next year or next winter of course sir what I've noticed mostly about squirrels if they are curious creatures I've seen my cat Garfield running an unbelievable speed trying to catch one something was deferred at my front lawn and I know what that was from Mike at Valerie brought me a baby rabbit is a gift caring it like a kitten so I bagged her and the rabbit took took it away from her put on the table I thought it was dead but it was kinda tight and I've been licked scared to death and it took off and then she grabbed it again this time with its head in her mouth again I beg you took it away Let It Go that night the next afternoon after I let her out in the morning to do her business I found what was left of adjusting entries they won't eat that so far no bones I don't know if she had drag the body and left those parts behind and then dragged threw up the intros I don't disgust me I see now that the that happened before where I was there was a hook that will that area and so I know they never eat the end she was bitter I guess and disgusting think about it that's nature and that's their food source so basically a squirrel has its purpose besides if they write about with a fluffy tail you know just like pestilence has a purpose to defeat the Predators the snakes what are the predators the Lions even the common house cat all predators and the mosquitoes they call sickness ticks all these things that have no purpose or made just to feed the Predators and keep them healthy but the good work here thanks for this Ricky 1024

NIce discriptions and a cute piece about them. I have noticed that the ones in Ohio are big and fluffy compared to the ones in northern Canada. But they are all still fun to watch

Hello mermaids I always look forward to read your poems you have pasted about God's critters

Yes the squirrels in FL, are tiny according to the over stuffed squirrels we see in Vernon.

I hope the squirrels will be careful there among the alligators. That is a delightful picture of a squirrel. They're so much fun to watch. Always so busy. It sounds like the squirrel you saw is used to the tourists. He probably doesn't have to worry about getting food. Maybe it's his reward for posing for pictures. A very charming comment on the squirrels. judi

Yes, squirrels are fascinating to watch and they do appear to be larger here in New England. Thanks for reading and enjoying. Elaine

Ah, the ubiquitous squirrel
if there's a tree, there's a squirrel
especially an oak tree
with those scrumptious acorns
This is a very nice poem of the squirrel
it probably doesn't need as much fur
since there is little winter in Florida
Excellent picture to match your fine free verse poem
Well done
