Comment from Brett Matthew West
Some times a person has to stop and consider all the possibilities when attempting to write to come up with a worthwhile story line.
Three good ideas, combined into one story, would probably make it more interesting.

Thanks, Brett. That's very encouraging.

Interesting narrative, Marv. I have a question for you since you don't seem to want to do any description: why don't you write a screen play (hey! it would be about a screenwriter). That way, you would only have to include the opening scene and let the rest of it be dialogue. Just a thought.
Only one consideration below:
Overweight twins__giving new meaning to the term, 'double-date'__hilarity [Why are you using the underscore instead of the Em dash (--)?]
He sure is having a lot of trouble with that one play, isn't he?

Thanks for reviewing this piece.
I started a couple of screenplays and stopped when I became disenchanted with the film business. Also, I thought a novel would have a better chance.
I've got some material for a book of quips and observations that I've been encouraged by another fan to complete. So, I might try doing both at the same time.
I'd like to collaborate with you on one screenplay in particular, if you're interested. I think you could do it justice.
I wasn't sure how to punctuate the part you mentioned. Thanks for that.
I feel so fortunate to have your interest in this novel.
