Even when there is only half a moon shining at night. Wildlife continues like normal. The frogs will sing their choir songs and the setting sun leaves a golden trial behind.

I think this poem is beautifully done. While I was reading it I felt immersed in the atmosphere, the stillness of the environment. I like the use of consonance and the in-line rhyme, which brings an elegance and lyricism to it.

Oh my, but doesn't it just bring a delicious joy to draw out words one by one to create a perfect, delightful new whole. If they say a picture is worth a thousand words than I'll say a poetic word picture is worth more than the most expensive camera on the market.

The description of the natural setting has been done with a poetic skill. On the one hand, the setting Sun is casting the golden rays on the lake. On the other hand, 'a family of frogs produce a chorus of harmonic croaks' and that too music upon quite waters. It is like a photographer using wide angle camera turns to a zoom mode. Very well written.

Well written poem clearly depicts a peaceful and inviting scene.
Painted through words this place can easily be visualized, even if "only a half moon shining this night".
Should be a good contest entry.

This is a descriptive poem about evening on the lake and the imagery is finely detailed, and with the chorus of frogs appeals to several senses. You have captured the ultimate serenity that evening on a lake enjoys and the half moon is a nice detail.

This creates a vivid and evocative picture in the mind of the reader. The imagery is carefully crafted and the way that the images flow into each other helps the reader to visualise the scene. The piece appeals to the author's senses. Just wondered if 'lakes' needs an apostrophe? Best wishes Lisa
