Forever Blue

This is so beautiful! No wonder it won first place in this contest. Blue, the color of sadness, so cleverly described in these lines, seems to be part of the speaker's sad dream. "Tears fall crystal," and "fleeting whispers form words I cannot hear," are especially poetic phrases that I loved. The final line is a perfect closing for this beautiful poem.

Kazzawin,
Congratulations on your contest win!
This is truly a beautiful free verse
interpretation of that artwork.
You have very unique imagery
with well chosen words. I enjoyed
all of you "s" alliteration in it and
how you repeated blue dreams
theme.

Oh my goodness - I would never equate the color blue with sadness. However, it does have the meaning of being sad which is what you are portraying in this spectacular presentation. Hugs, Lou

Thank you so much for your kind review.
I have always equated blue with sadness . . . i.e 'feeling blue' although I love the colour : )

In my opinion, this poem is perfectly rendered in its rhythmical free verse - the words are beautifully constructed and the lyric flow inviting in its read - I can think of nothing that could enhance this lovely poem...

Beautiful poem. Well written with flowing words that are easy to read. I really like how you used so many different shades/colors of blue throughout the poem. Very well thought out. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest!

Forever Blue is a sitting piece for the FanArtReview Art - Cleo85 writing prompt entry . It is a sad Requiem of one who is unable to get sweet elusive rest and tranquility in the arms of beautiful loving warm, receptive dreams. Nights of sadness and melancholy are not mingled with those of tranquility. Thanks for sharing. And may God bless you!

This is a very good entry into the FanArtReviewArt - Cleo85 contest. Loved the content...reads very smoothly aloud, which I did several times. Great word choices for imagery and feeling and the artwork chosen is a perfect accompaniment. Good luck in the contest. God bless and hugs, Susanne
