Thank you, William. Our cats seem to get cancer a lot. I will have to check it out.

Your story is a beautiful tribute to Tasi. Like you, I'm a stray magnet, and over the years have had some put - down due to illness, of course. It's always hard.

They become your family, don't they? I completely understand.

Your story is well written and reads very smoothly.

I'm very sorry for your loss. 8-)

Thank you, my friend. Yes, they do become family. Each one has a unique personality. Tasi was funny and loved to sit on my lap. I felt like I was betrying my best friend when I took her to be killed.

No, no. It's the last kindness you can show them when they are so very ill or injured. Remember, their lives are better for having been with you than they would have been without you. 8-)

Now I heard of "dogs", being a man's best friend, but not cats. Cats often appear to only care for themselves, they are finicky and lazily lay around all day. I enjoyed reading your unique story of the relationship you had with your cat, although you call her a "Tasmanian devil", I think that she was being a regular cat, because they are very mischievous. I really enjoyed reading your story.

Thank you. I called her Tasi because she liked to spin in circles and roll the rugs up. I have good relations with all my cats. One is sitting on my printer right now. They just like to be near me and all are very affectionete.

I love having animals, but I hate those final goodbyes. They are such a loving wonderful time in our lives. My husband and I adore them. I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for telling us about her.

Thank you. Having pets put down is one of the hardest things in life. I feel like it is murder to kill one of my pets.

I am so sorry for your added burden in the loss of your precious Tasi. You gave her the love and life she deserved and she will always be grateful for that comfort. I was once told our pets reincarnate back to us several times over our lifetime. I don't know that I believe that, but there have been quirky personalities of once loved pets that seem to reappear in others decades later. I wish you that...

Thank you, Mary. It is one of the hardest things in the world to put a pet down. It's like killing one of your children. Thanks for caring.

Prettybluebirds....this is a very good entry into the 200 Word Story contest. It is so sad but I can sense that the sadness is overcome by you by the memories you have of Tasi. I am an adamant cat lover. I get them as kittens and keep them their whole lives. I grieve like I've lost a child when one passes on and then find another to fill the void. My present cat, Alice, will be 15 in Sept. this year. I will miss her tremendously when she leaves me. Your 200 Word Story gives a full content and visually perfect insight into the relationship that you had with Tasi. So sorry for your loss. Good luck in the contest. God bless and hugs, Susanne

Thank you, my friend. I have five cats left after Tasi's passing. Each cat has a unique personality of their own. Tasi was a funny cat and I miss her a lot. Thanks for caring.

Beautifully written and a fitting tribute to Tasi. Cats may only be with us for a short time, but they live forever in our hearts. The setting is carefully constructed and the description gives us an awareness of character and setting, and cat. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the contest.

You made me cry. Our old gentleman was twenty-one and seven months when he went to the resting tree. He died in my arms. We won't get another cat his memory it still to raw he was like a member of the family and both hubby and I loved him dearly. I actually am thankful he wasn't ill just tired of living and he went to sleep. Regards Mabaker.

Thank you. You story touches my heart. It is so sad to lose our friends. The loss of Tasi is still a fresh wound. I have six other cats but here was only one Tasi. Thank you for the six stars.

A very loving cat story. You put some emotion into this short, short story and I get the feeling that you loved this cat very much. A nice tribute to your pet.

Sorry to hear about your cat. I enjoyed the story.

My friend was moving to Tennessee and I was caring for her animals while she made the trips from Michigan to Tennessee. It was a short distance between our homes and I often walked across the fields

One calico never got enough to eat so I took food for her and fed her separate. All three examples are the same type. You need to place a comma before the conjunction when you have two complete sentences.

Take care,
Russell

Thank you, my friend. I appreciate the grammar lesson and will correct. Grammar is a weak point of mine and I intend to take some classes and see if I can't do better.
