This is such a sad and despairing poem of your life gone by and how you feel is what is left. You should celebrate, not be so desperate for its end. A well written poem nonetheless. Have a happy day! Tony

Thanks so much for your review but i had to chuckle. Not all writing is about the authors life and this was about a family member's complaints. I also did one on how a mentally depressed person feels and that was also from a friend. I do thank you for your concern but I am fine and well adjusted. Take care and stay the kind soul that you are.

I'm happy then...of course. You shouldn't find my concern for you humorous. Tony

I think this is one of my favorite all-time poems. Perhaps it is the sentiment I share, perhaps it is the beautiful way you have woven your words together to make this art. I love it.

Thank you for your review. This poem was not from the poets life but a reflection of a very close relatives life from a diary. It is nice that it was written so that the view was taken to be more personal.

I love the artist and found this to be genius and clever. It asks truthful and amazing questions. I used to say don't wish ask from your knees and it will work out. I could practice that more. This I vote first.

Hi, A really competent poem, with an interesting rhyming pattern. I really like:
'The wounded past is just a memory'

With best wishes, Writeling

I like the form you have selected for this poem, with its theme of the growing complexity of life. It is also a pleasure to review a writer who can not only employ meter correctly but who can use metrical substitution with a trochee opening to line 2 of S3.

I like the way you have broken what is essentially the fourth pentameter of each stanza in two lines, one trimeter and the final refrain line in dimeter making for a strong refrain.

Very competently writtlen.

We all have a wish one or other time in our lives. When we reach our older years we can look back and see how many of our wishes came true.

What a lovely and well structured entry to this Repetition writing prompt. It flows freely and has given the reader an insight into aging and its implications. A simple wish... a simple title, for a poem which is emotional and thought provoking. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest. Warmest regards, Marijke :o)

OH! What a hauntingly beautiful poem this is - I love your choice of theme and that repeat line! It's so sad when we surrender wishes though, when the dreams seem to have eluded our grasp... The mood captured here is so beautifully wistful. I love this poem - I do hope you'll let me know who you are when the contest is over!
