    Thanks Linda.
I went through so many emotions growing up and struggled for many years to cope
with everything I held inside. Still unable to tell anyone.
I am walking the path of release and becoming who I was meant to be but although I
forgave my mother I never acknowleged that she loved me too...in her own strange way.
I wonder if she needed closure too.

Hi, Shirley

= Great picture of you and your mom.
= Hope my son wakes up before I check out.
= His disrespectful mouth/actions may be hard to live with if he doesn't get it.
= Certainly isn't for lack of trying. I'm done. He'll have to come to me.
= I've been posting my memoirs ... working on a therapeutic side to it. It's actually helping a lot. I have so much support from family/friends, so I hope he comes around sooner than later.
= Nice work with this one, and your notes.

    Hi Jax,
Lovely to hear from you. I'm so sorry this topic affects you too.
    I hope you are well.
Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.
I found sharing my memoirs in writing and poetry was so liberating and
allowed closure. It is often a long and tortuous path to walk but the release is wonderful.
Still off site a lot but hope the second half of the year is better.

A good cautionary note here Shirley dear. So many times I have heard people say I wish I had.... After someone passes away. Share your feelings while they are alive and make both of your lives full. Good Job! xsx Nancy

    Thanks Nancy.
In the crazy maze of life it is too easy to forget that we don't live forever
and everything can change in an instant.
I appreciate your time and review.

Hello Shirley;
-your writing is a very great message or should I say very excellent proverbial statement that time goes by so quickly we should not spend our time in our memories. This is what I thought it meant.
-The pictures very appropriate, supportive and relative to the concept and theme of your writing.
- good luck in the contest and made the Lord be with you always.

    Thanks Alex.
    I appreciate your review.
What I was saying is that life seems to pass in the blink of an eye.
Often we are so busy surviving each day we forget our loved ones can be taken so quickly.
Enjoy the memories and moments with them before it is too late and you are left with so much left unsaid.

Your poem--and your notes--deliver a message that we all should heed.
Indeed "Time passes [too] quickly," and memories fade so fast.
A very nice 5-7-5 to remind us.

Hi there,

You did a good job with this competition entry. So very true, time is the true enemy of closure and a harbinger of regret.

good piece.
