Hi Gregory,
Congrats on placing in this contest. With only three lines you've imparted a complete image with vivid word choices that make the reader just want to close their eyes and let their imagination show them the picture.
Awesome work!

Lovely wistful and serene. I enjoyed this. Fine consonance of L and S as well as Y make it sound grandiloquent aloud. Fine flow and enjambment. Striking artistic presentation too. LOVE the title--drew me to read it! FYI - I'm a standard member now--just visiting on occasion to review friends like you.
Best Wishes,

Hi how are you. I haven't been writing any poetry. I'm only working on my book. I have some new chapters. I'm writing the story around my "essays". The essays were events that took place in my childhood with my mom. So the writing I'm doing now is not really funny, it's sad but it fills in the story. You're still my editor I hope! I'm focusing on the writing now and then I'll edit after. I hope I'm on the right track though!
-
Absolutely, dear Gregory. I'll always be available for you. Feel free to send editing via my email. I am now only a standard member on FS and will be less active here, though I'll still review on occasion. It must be cathartic to write of these events. Sending lots of positive healing energy your way. I sense you're on the right track (intuitively). Keep diving in....it's all good...very healing process...
Love,

We just have to look around us everywhere to find the most beautiful masterpieces from God himself and it is all for free. There is no high price tag on His masterpiece

You've created really lovely imagery with this micro poem--Love "dreams upon astral canvas." Great choice of artwork to enhance the presentation. Good luck in the contest. Chris

Greg, I LOVE this! It always surprises me that such a specific & poetic image can be captured in a mere 3 lines. Oh bother! Now I'll have to go and write one myself, just to see if I can do it. Love 'astral canvas'! :)S

Nice poem. Eternal eyes gaze...I see God in those words.
Beyond sleep hilltops to paint...I see the seasons.
Dreams upon astral canvas....I see the stars
