So here I am, making good on my promise to review something of yours. This was the most current piece I found. Sounds like you getting a bit jaded back in April :) I don't blame you. Seems like contests--other than site sponsored ones--and entries are getting pretty scarce. What happened? I've been gone for a few months, but even before I left it was still pretty hopping.

I don't know what you are talking about. When I look at your Profile Page *and* your Portfolio, it shows this poem as the top (most recent) item. Then next thing down--"His Name is Joe"--is from 2014.

That is because you are not signed up as a fan of mine.....as I am your fan. If you were It would show you my "latest" post. "The Runaway" Don't weorry about it. thanks anyway. The only other way to get it is to go to my portfolio under books and select chapter number 18 as it is a revived post. sorry. Bob

Yes, I was signed up as a fan of yours until about 30 seconds ago. I don't know why FS is not showing your posts properly to me. Maybe it's because it's an older post that has been revived, so FS doesn't sort that to the top of the portfolio. I'll look for The Runaway tomorrow.

I've missed a lot of reading and reviewing due to my teaching; however, I'm glad to find this one in your portfolio today. So sorry I missed it when posted.

And congratulations for taking the blue ribbon in the contest!

I liked the tone of the poem and line two made me laugh out loud. Line 3 is one of life's truisms when a poet posts his work.

A fun poem and so glad this won. A contest winner deserves a yellow star!
