Mr Cummings would have had a hard time from some reviewers on FS I think. What an amazing country/continent you live on. There are roses blooming in temeratures of thirty degrees at one end and snow faling at the other. It just has to be raining in the middle.
This is a lovely descriptive poem. Reading your words brings the whole scene alive; not just the scene but the shock of it all coming so swiftly on the heels of an apparent sprin advent.

Hi Pantygynt:
I have to laugh at your first comment. If you look at Cat's review, she wanted to get out the red pen and start editing, until she realized that I was emulating e. e. cummings and decided she had to put the red ink away. lol We do run the gamut of weather at any given time of the year here. Today the sun is shining so bright I feel I need sunglasses and I'm not even outdoors lol
Thank you for the great review. I'm so happy you enjoyed the scene I painted with my words.

Excellent art work for the words.
The words were very interesting to read
It would be hard I feel walking on this snow
and of course some very icy sections on the ground.

Hi Annie,
The snow will melt soon enough, I hope... the temperatures are warming and melting during the day. The picture is my driveway. Thank you for your lovely comments.

Hi Valda,
I'm so happy that you enjoyed my picture and the emulation of e. e. cummings April poem. I do love the beauty of where I live and wouldn't trade it for the world :)

I am going through the same thing as spring sprung then winter snuggled in for one more hug. Outside cats are not impressed and this piece really told it all

oh my. . .e.e. cummings! that's an intimidating style
to emulate!!
I feel you have captured the spirit wonderfully - I
especially liked the veer into the left over from Easter
bunny rabbit and the flaring aurora borealis :)

Hi Leineco,
In reading his poetry the one thing I've decided is that he was quite random in his thoughts lol Thank you for noting what you enjoyed the most about my version of his April poem. I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.

Wow! I didn't know about the punctuation thing! You did such a good job at imitating the style yet making it fully and absolutely yours!
What a magical landscape! and your doggy in it! So very sweet! Especially
"she barks to hurry herself back inside"
Also the closing stanza is breathtaking! Such a wonderful writing, Dear!

Hi Angie,
I'm glad you are enjoying my emulation of e. e. cummings. My plan is to feature a different poet each day for the entire month of April in this NaPoWriMo challenge. Stay tuned for more :) I'm loving the reviews! Thank you for taking the time to read and comment.

Outstanding writing.
Comment from Gloria ....
Well isn't that a coincidence. We just had snow in the hills here too. I guess that makes a little bit of sense seeing as how we're in the relatively same line of longitude.
But more importantly what an amazingly beautiful poem you got out of the deal.
And dancing auroras too, now that is something very beautiful indeed.
Well, well done, Kim.

Ah, so you live in Fairbanks. I bet you are ready for Spring! I enjoyed your picture (it's pretty), the poem including the description of Lily, and the notes on e.e. cummings. He's pretty amazing!
(ice melted from/ the eaves in translucent droplets/ now hanging daggers with points shimmering in light) -- this is my favorite sentence, I can really feel this, and I did actually see that on my mom's back porch in January (Montana). Where I live now it never snows (So Cal).
hugs,
Carol

Hi Carol,
Yes, I've lived here since I was a toddler. We always hope spring will get here early, but I've seen it snow as late as June, so I never hold my breath lol Thank you for all the great comments. I especially enjoyed your sharing your favorite line.
I'm having fun introducing the poets and I'm happy you enjoyed e. e. cummings. :)

Spring is on the verge for us here in Wisconsin, too, but yesterday we ran the gamut of weather, snow, sun, sleet. Today all melting. Yay! Your poem without caps and staccato points--gives snippets of information that the reader's brain connects. Interesting to read patterned after EE--like tangential musings running through our mind.
