I like this, which I must take as a clever reference to Easter and the resurrection, since the lilies are so popular at this time of year. I love their scent.
I love the image you present of something wonderful about to happen - furled and poised.
Your flowers here are sometimes called Torch Lilies, although, as you say, they aren't actually lilies.

Thanks so much, Av. I really liked the fairy/pixie parts of the illustration. Without them, we'd have no creation.

A very good poem all wrapped in a very very tight package. It hard to write these and make them understandable. Good work, and the picture fits so well.

Hi Writing!
I love the fact that you are celebrating Poetry Month :) Many of us are enjoying the writing challenge of writing 30 poems for the month of April and celebrating the 20th anniversary of National Poetry Writing Month.
I love the artwork and presentation of this piece. The alliteration in your second line is delightful. This is a beautiful haiku. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Kim
Thank you so much for this very gracious and encouraging review. I am having fun, though I think posting one a day is a bit beyond my bank account at this point.
I look forward to reading your offerings, as well as all the others we'll see throughout this special month.

Even though they aren't lilies the artwork is very beautiful. I'm glad you used it. I enjoyed reading your poem. The flow and the meaning are both very good.

The artwork was charming as is the poem that follows it. While, you're right, it wasn't a lily, the intent is there and is understood. I like the way the haiku can convey such meaning in so few words. Well done,
Rhonda

Clever, original and acceptable to have the satori in the FIRST line.
Good alliteration in 2nd line.
I'm no haiku expert, but they're usually written in a 'short-long-short' (syllable count) presentation, but that's no big deal as far as I'm concerned. ;-)
Nice use of, 'resurrection', and they go through this EVERY DAY.
Best wishes, Ray

Much appreciated!

Very Beautiful Poetry and artwork. The words have such a great impact and make you quiver as you read through it. Such a sensible kind of piece. I liked it much.

Thanks so much, William. Intellectually I know its Spring, but outside it's all white. Sigh...

Watch out. the haiku police are about and they'll do you for PWP (posting with a picture. Lol. Lupins if I am not mistaken. Never mind. Perhaps the lilies will be out soon. It is a lovely Japaneasy statement anyway.

I've already heard from them, P :) I just like using images with my writing, especially when we have such great artwork to choose from.
Thanks for the bit of humor in my day, and for your kind review.
