This is the ultimate love in life. Almost crying after reading your writing. Henry shared the best friend and lover in his life to the very end. Going to court for being there to the end is horrible. You are a wonderful writer, please continue to go for the next best
story, or poem. I will be looking forward to reading your new work.

My heart was just squeezed- really truly wonderful story about love. This is well written, engrossing and flows nicely. I can see why it won the contest and received the recognition of All Time Best. Thanks or sharing. ~Chris

This was beautifully done, and I profoundly hope that you win the contest, if that matters to you. I will be voting for you.
I loved the way you separated out the revisited world of overwhelming love from the rough, outside world by introducing a touch of vernacular language.
I found it hard to imagine any hospice staff behaving in the grotesque way these ones did. I guess some seriously bad hospices must exist.

'Scuse me a minute...sorry about this...someone must be cutting onions. I loved this story. It was so beautiul and touching. I'm not much of a one or romance, but this went beyond that, and into the realms of deep love and lasting partnership. A well-deserved win.

This is a really sweet story about two elderly people and the deep love they share. Very well written and moving as well. So his love parted in peace and not so alone. Congratulation on your win. Well deserved. All the best. Ulla

I am so touched by this. True love is so very hard to write about. It can only feel true if the writer is coming from a place of truth. Very well done. Please continue to write and share.

Wow this one moved me very deeply. The love that they felt for each other transcends life or death. Having felt that way myself and having lost him to death too makes this very real for me. Very good writing and maybe one day dementia will be cured.

Hi lancelot, I read through this entry, congratulations on the win here, this touching tale of love and loss has solid stable writing, an easy to read flow, and incorporates themes that appeal to readers. I'm glad Henry was able to give his dying wife a moment of intimate distraction.

Hi there,
A great story not just for this competition but one in general which shows a depth of love and emotion throughout. The ending was very fitting too.
Congratulations on the win too.
