Interesting poem about a change of random thoughts. The rhymes do not seem forced. Your poem flows okay. It draws on curiosity and it presents strong images.

I like the clever rhyme and the hyperbole, a well as the irony in each stanza. A little smile at being a senior citizen rings a bell for me. The last two lines were my favorite.

What wit throughout. Very funny. Have you been watching me? This poem certainly applies. I especially like "I found that growing old was easy, so I did." I have certainly mastered growing old. hahahahaha

This is a very fun poem. It certainly could be thought of as the pessimist's anthem. Of course, the pessimist would think it is reality, and for them, it would be. You have a very creative mind, good job.

This is an excellent rhyming poem which gets right to the heart of things. Life is hard for many of us and much harder for some than others. I like the way you take platitudes and flip them. I appreciate the dark humor. Very well done.

' Such is Life ' , is an exceptionally well-written and absolute hoot of a piece. It should actually be a seven, but we aren't given any of them. I've never managed to work out why !!

This is definitely a six star rating. Your cleverness and wit are evident in every line. I'm sure that even Jesus is laughing at this one. Possibly the funniest poem I have seen on this site.

Hi there,
Whilst this piece does come across as funny with the commentary on well-known sayings/phrases, it also has a pervading air of sadness about it. As if, life hasn't gone anywhere and isn't what it should be.
