Aww, I read the prompt, and my goodness, there must be so many species to choose from. I think you've chosen an unusual and beautiful bear for your haiku and you have demonstrated why he is threatened. I don't need three guesses to figure out who is responsible for destroying his habitat. What harm we do to this planet!

Thanks! Yes - there are hundreds of endangered species to chose from. This bear species is also dwindling because of poachers - so sad. Appreciate all your comments. Cheers ... ;o)

Poor spectacled bears. It's so sad, and is happening all over the world. Humans are driving so many animals into extinction by invading their habitats.

Very good entry for the contest with good third line. Apart from habitat change, poachers poach them for body parts which is responsible for the dwindling population. The same is the case with many animals like tiger, elephant.
