As I read this poem, Missy, I can well understand why it sits in the coveted position of ATB. I don't think this needed a warning for sexual content. I enjoyed how the second half of the poem mirrored the first half, with the negative, hurtful emotions being replaced by the positive growth-inducing ones. I don't think you needed the colors on the key emotions, but it does give them a pop!

Quite creative. Your juices must have been flowing from your HEART on the day this was written as stated in your profile.
I, too, wanted to be a journalist. Given a scholarship in full, summer employment at a local small-town newsprint, a job at the local radio station as a Dj and a position as Sports information director, I couldn't refuse even with the college not having the degree I aspired for. All worked out, I became a Hall of Fame salesperson after graduation, retiring early at 58.

I was also offered an internship at my local paper but having a horrible home life I opted for a marriage neither of us was ready for. ~Sigh~

This poem represents first, enslavement of the soul.
And, then a final release.
Yes, as the person which is a woman.
Can finally lead their own like properly.
Well written rich in Theme and in Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with No Grammar Issues

Thank you, Dr. Ricky. I appreciate every review.
When I look back at my very first piece here on fanstory, and then at the last piece I posted I can truly see how the wonderful people here on fanstory have made me a better writer.

Yes, I think this is a genuinely well written ekphrastic poem, using colour with all their individuality, to describe the projected meaning of the poem, this is beautifully written work, you've illuminated the meanings excellently, well done, blessings Roy

Well done

Very nicely portrayed indeed! This elicited emotions reminiscent of the death of ET in.a 1970's Spielberg flick. Audiences balling into their popcorn buckets. A real scene.
Anywho, the use of multiple colors was also quite stunning. Reminded me of a Queen concert.
Nice work!

Something special
I left you a rose on your pillow last night
I find myself looking for you everywhere
the bed is a bed for two occupied by one
Love came so sweetly and YOUR love easily
I became your love slave without hesitation
I left you a rose on your pillow last night
You were not there, but your fragrance was
Time and time again you told me you loved me
And each time I just figured I was a lucky guy
Now in the quiet of the night tears roll down my cheeks
I never knew that heart ache was so real until now
A king size bed for two occupied by one...sigh
Now I am left with just the memory of something special
I hope you find happiness Missy

This is a great poem, and I loved the picture. I didn't see any reason for a warning, but I guess to some, it may be offensive. I love how you used colors to define the moods and emotions. Great Job
