Great story. Talk about a brush with death I think I would've packed up and moved that day. I liked how you left the ending open ended ad the backdrop of the snow gave it a Shining like quality.

Thank you for reading the very last story in the Tiny Tales of Terror series, Jack. It was intended as a multi-authored book platform where any writer here could post and include his or her own stories of flash or micro flash fiction. But, like all good things it had to come to an end sometime, as the interest has waned considerably.
So, today, I simply shut it down.
Thank you for reading, and there are many stories from a plethora of talented writers here who have posted their own great stories in the book.
Much obliged for the thoughtful review.

What a terrifying tale for those trapped in the snow back East. I love how you leave the ending open with the possibility of Roland Meechum looking for a thirteenth victim to butcher. Yes, this is chilling. I also love the vivid touch of your prose with lines like "Footprints in the snow pockmarked our porch." Thank you for scaring.

Thank you for reading, Andre. It will be the last-ever story posted in the Tiny Tales of Terror series. Like all good things, it simply had to come to an end. But it was sure a lot of fun, for me, anyway, while it lasted.
Thanks you very much for your support of this series during t its run. I deeply appreciate it!

Good one, Dean.
It's gems like this that I miss: 'Footprints in the snow pockmarked our porch.'
What an unexpected, yet perfect, description. The sense of something evil being there was immediate. I was hooked to read on.
I'll miss your perfect short tales.
Maybe, you'll write another -- just for me? (No I don't want to be number 13. lol)

Hahaha.
I wouldn't do that to you, "e"...would I? (heh-heh)
Yeah, I'm going to miss writing them. They were so much fun, but the novelty wore out so it was time to shut the project down. No one was contributing their stories any longer, so it was time to put this project to sleep...permanently.
Thank you for tagging along with me and supporting these tiny tales.
It was sure fun while it lasted...

It was a great idea and many did participate. All good things do come to an end. :(

Yep, you're absolutely right about that. :)

Only you could turn a pleasant snow flurry into a terror tale. A very imaginative story line, blending in dad's job, a night alone, a nefarious cannabal, with blood and tracks in the snow.
Then you leave us hanging, with unfinished business. Well done!

Very good story, and the ending tell us Dad and his family are in real danger, but leaves it at that. Better that way... scarier. You do know how to scare us. Not that I like it, but I have to appreciate your talent. :)

Hi,Dean.
So, there's another Hannibal Lecter on the loose. Your story builds well and will forever leave me watching for footprints in the snow.:)Your last sentence is a perfect ending to the story. Well done.
Bye
Rosalyne :)
