This is very sad news. Thank you for posting this as I don't go on facebook. I was pleased to hear from her several weeks ago, and I was feeling hopeful. Sweet Pea and I connected when I first came to FS about 10 years ago. I'll always smile as I recall her rants, her spunk, and thirst for life. She was a special person, unique, indeed.

Yes, Penny was a very sweet and kind lady who genuinely cared about others more than she did herself. Your straight-forward, heartfelt ode to her memory here is a wonderful tribute to her.

The days will always be brighter because she existed. The nights will always be darker because she's gone. And no matter what anybody says about grief and about time healing all wounds, the truth is: there are certain sorrows that never fade away until the heart stops beating and the last breath is taken.

Ah, there you are--I have missed you and have been thinking about you over the holiday season. Thank you for this tribute to Kentucky Sweet Pea--I did not know her well and wasn't aware she was ill. My heart leaped when I saw her name on the banner. I've thought about her through the years and was prepared to welcome her back. Then my heart sank as I saw she had left us. Thank you for letting her FanStory family know. One quick fix to the title change "sweat" to Sweet.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Kentucky Sweet Pea. I knew her through Fanstory as well, however I did not get close per se. I, too have been here and there as far as Fanstory is concerned, and have just returned a little over a year now.

My fondest sympathy to the family and many friends she has left behind. Will she be on the Eternal Flame here on Fanstory. It is where works are kept for Fanstory friends to read at any time. Just wondering. It is how their memories are kept to last.
