Thanks Linda. I'm finally starting to write a little more. The weather has been so warm here and that makes it hard to sit in the house when it's 65 or 70 degrees outside. But, winter is finally starting to sit in, it's snowing right now. So, I guess I'll start writing more to occupy my time. I hope to see some of your poems soon. Take care my friend and stay warm. Thank you Rod for your excellent review, I appreciate it. The announcement of this award to her was only left on the front page for a short time, so I don't imagine many members got to see it. That's why I wrote this tribute. Happy New Year my friend.

How kind of you to make an ode for our dear Brooke, whom we all miss. It was wonderful to see her recognition today. I'm glad you posted this, as the announcement on the front page is already replaced with something else. Hope more people hear of the award through your poem!

As far as critique goes, i think you could improve this by grammatically linking the first two lines for smooth flow. Otherwise, all three lines are a bit choppy. Also, punctuation would add cadence and sculpt the flow nicely.

Example:
