On the contrary, it's not directed at the world, but the dangerousness of a political ideology here at home that preaches distrusting and fearing a group which totals over a billion people worldwide.

Now that we know what you don't believe in, how about a follow up piece with a proposal as to what you would do to keep our country safe and rectify our world image. How about worrying about what would be the best for our future generations, that would be refreshing, to say the least.
Is there a viable alternative that wouldn't sell us out to the highest bidder? The current administration has done enough damage.
My opinion: I don't support Trump. However, I'd NEVER support Hillary. Where do we find an honest politician? I'd really like to know.

Thank you, but I must respectfully disagree with your assessment of the current administration. I believe the damage was done by the previous one. After his disastrous foreign policy, which amounted to a big 'screw you!' to the rest of the world, there was one HELL of a huge amount of mess to clean up, and I think this President had been successful, for the most part. Thank you for keeping you disagreement civil!

Thanks, James, and I couldn't agree with you more about the automatic weapons ban, but if you even bring up a common sense thing such as background checks, the right freaks out--we can't even get a conversation started here, so I can only see the issue being swept under the rug, until the next mass shooting, then they'll be people who scream, 'we've GOT to do something!", and then the whole useless exercise will start all over again!

Thank you for keeping your comment civil. And, I am far from a military basher, but I simply feel strongly that we should take steps to make it a little harder for a crazy to get his hands on a gun. While I vehemently deny our country has gone downhill (after 8 years of his predecessor, now THAT was about as far down the hill as you can get,) I thank you for your thoughtful comment!
