This is a poignant write and yes, horror does not always have to be a movie or book theme. Often horror can strike right in our home or neighborhoods. Patricia Good luck in the contest.

Poet,
Your real life 5-7-5 horror entry is in good form.
Your satori is right on and your presentation is
gripping.
You did an excellent job on a difficult and tragic subject,
Linda

Comment from Dean Kuch
The horrors lurking in the real world today are far more terrifying than anything Stephen King or Dean Koontz could concoct, even with their brilliant imaginative minds. Random shootings and mass killings in movie theaters and shopping malls, beheading of children on video, the bloated decaying corpses of refugee children, drowned and washed ashore, who never quite made it to their new homes. And, of course, the latest terrorist attacks on Paris, France and 9/11, lest we forget.
I could go on, and on, and on...but I won't. It's far too depressing.
Well done. Good luck in the voting booth.

Anytime, Sherry.

Your words say so much in such a small space. Good job with the syllable count and the [s] alliteration. We were all shocked and deeply saddened by the events of that night in Paris. Your poem has a great strong message. It was a horror. Good job and best wishes in the contest.

Shots shatter the night
Tables, blood and people fall
Insanity strikes
The horror of real life! Timely write - and too real for comfort :-(
Nicely written

Because this is true horror and these simple eleven words couldn't have said it better, you deserve an exceptional rating. Fantastic 5-7-5! Best of luck to you!

Hello :)
Nice job with the 5/7/5 horror poem contest entry. It is true, the worse kind of horror is the kind that happens in real life. Good job with the syllable count. Good luck!

Reality is more horrific than fiction. Fiction is born out of imagination. This is born out of hate and a true horror story. Good luck with the contest

Welcome to the world of terrorists.
Well written poem that uses terms such as "insanity strikes," and "blood and people fall," to much better illustrate the stupidity of these terroristic attacks.
Should be a good contest entry.
