THere's a reason, Old William Shakespeare never wrote limericks. If he did he would have to contend with the likes of you and your fine tragi-comedic limerick. Great job, and funny.

I enjoyed your limericks summing up the story of R & J. The flow was great. I could understand all of what you stated in a fun way. Good job with the prompt. I see no changes. Best wishes in the contest.

This poem is obviously a parody of the classic Romeo and Juliet.I enjoyed the way it was presented injecting humor in the poetic lines. Thanks for sharing your work to the readers.

::applause:: applause :: Bravo
(tosses roses onto the stage)
Now why couldn't Old Willie have written all his works so clearly? LOL
Nicely done synopsis in limerick form :-)

HAHAHAHA! This should do VERY well in this contest I think - it's funny and very much like our famous bard might have written, at least topic-wise, yes? HAHAHAHA! "Engulfed in a fiery stew..." HMmm, yup, one could say that, I guess.

This sums up the plot of Romeo and Juliette very well. You have kept the Limerick style throughout and chosen your words well. Nicely presented, too, Good job!

If Willy wrote limericks I'm sure this would have been proud of these, Nicely written for the contest. All three limericks are wonderful and I can't chose a favourite, thankfully I don't need to. Best wishes for the contest.
Bless you
John

I think you did a creative job with this contest topic. The rhyme was so natural - very well done. The story here was terrific and you can read into it. Very creative.

nice triple limerick for the Willie Contest. Good use of language to satiate both the Elizabethan feel and traditional limerick bawdiness. Only one misspelling in 'Montague'... Well done
