Awwww... how sweet... nowadays you can't even trust anyone to walk you home. :(
But it was nice that someone walked you home.
I love the imagery of the lost sheep.
:)
Well done! good luck in the contest!

Gypsy Blue Rose,
That's quite a Pen name. Are you really of
Gypsy decent? LOL
You read or maybe I should say struggled through
one of my writes, so I have read, with interest
one of yours. As long as mine was, I should probably
have read two or maybe three of yours
I could just see you as a little girl, running through
a crowd of people, crying Mommy! Mommy!
You titled your experience The Shepherd's Lost
Sheep. Actually The Great Shepherd never has ever
lost one of His sheep. In fact He said, "I give
unto them eternal life and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man snatch out of my hand."
Anyway leave happy tracts every where you go.

I'd say the best place to get lost in is a church but then again our world is pretty crazy so I can't even say that. I'm glad you found a nice lady who was able to help you. Great job

There is a spiritual feel and flow to your words. A clear scene is created in your poetic form that captures the image of the child being lost yet Jesus makes sure she is found. Excellent use of words.

The poem works on its own and is also paired well with the photo. The poem seems to have two levels -- a child separated from his mother in a crowd--and the Shepard finding all His lost lambs.

Thank you very much for the excellet review. :) You got it. it is one little girl lost. But the parable is that the Shepard leaves 99 sheep to find one.It is a metaphor.

An absolutely brilliant 5-7-5 poem on being "lost", "G". It's not only brilliant for the presentation, but for the truth it speaks as well.
A lovely, well-written 5-7-5, and a wonderfully presented entry.
I wish you all the best in the contest!
With admiration

The church setting gives such a wonderful double meaning to the expression "lost sheep" in this sensitively written 5-7-5! I hope you found your mom soon!

Thank you for letting me know how your story ended! Sounds very scary! It's great that it happened at church!

This was a nice piece of writing, mystery writer, I liked the imagery you portrayed of the sheep becoming lost and then finding its shepherd again. A well written piece, good luck in the contest...Jacob

Mystery writer: I hope that you pay this forward and help the youth know Jesus. Great witness of the parable of the lost sheep. Shows love of Shepherd to his sheep.
Time for prayer warriors to pray for the nations. God bless. flylikeaneagle

This is so beautiful! The message you have conveyed in this short poem is truly lovely. If only we could lead all of the lost ones to Him. Thank you for this and your author notes. Good luck in the contest. Happy writing!
