This limerick, Fickle Love, takes a bit of figuring as the matchups are a bit dizzying at first. I guess, in the end, Ben gets Jill and Bill gets Jen.

-Talk about form and style! It was easy to get the syllable count, but you really wrote a good, but confusing limerick, as it should be.
-I see this as a very complex math problem--one of those involved word problems with logic.
-I have no other reviews to go by, so I have to conclude that somehow everyone is with the person they want to be, one way or the other!
-Good job!

Hi respa1. so glad you thought it a good job I had a bit of fun trying to work out the end result No logic used I'm afraid, but I needed Ben to end up with Jill lol Cheers for your encouraging words.

You did a very good job, and you definitely had a puzzle. I don't know how you did that!!

I felt the art work was very fitting
for the words of this poem that has been
written, great creativity and poem in many ways.

Hello author, A fun limerick and a brain twister too.
Of note:
Then Bill he found out about Jen
Who loved him instead of young Ben
From Bill, Ben stole Jill
This gave her a thrill
Cause not Bill she loved but her Ben
(Ohhh, the confusion of the heart or could it be confusion from a pint of beer and a few shots of whiskey - lol.)
As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

Hi Latebloomer Thank you for stopping by to have a read and giving this a great review and rating . I think I had better stay of the beer and whisky as the wine is enough if this is what it produces ha ha Cheers
Comment from twinklepoems
Is this the poetic version of "Bill, Carol, Ted and Alice"? I really hope everyone got who they deserved! It all flows well except the last line does not flow quite as well as your other lines (but I don't know why). Good luck in the contest!

Hi twinklepoems I thank you for your review and tend to agree about the last line so have made a small change and hope it reads more smoothly now. Just having some fun with this genre and sometimes not sure what comes oir of my brain lol Cheers and thanks

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve
For Bill and Ben and Jill and Jen I couldn't get my tongue round them
And if this lot were lesbian gays they'd tangle up in different ways
That might have been a lot less natural than this limerick of love's quadrilateral
Fun suite from the emerald isle.

Haha - this is fun to read. Of course I had to go through it a couple times to get everyone straight. Actually, I'm still not sure who's the loser. I guess it's Bill. Hugs, Lou

Comment from MacMhuirich
Well Bill, Ben, Jill and Jen seem to have a real roller-coaster life, and that's without Jack and his bucket arriving on the scene. Loved your humour and this is a lovely read. Best wishes for the contest.
Bless you
